Students shout Gloria Oust

Asan ang bata? nasa lansangan! anong ginagawa? Lumalaban!” One of the campaigns shouted by the students from different schools in the Philippines this Saturday along Mendiola Street.

With the theme “Labanan ang Terroristang Atake ng Rehimeng U.S.,Arroyo sa mga bata at mamamayan.” The Salanlahi Alliance for Children’s Concerns made students from Manila, Quezon City and even from different provinces walk as one and with goal for a better country.

The protesters unfurled banners saying “Makamasa, Siyentipiko at libreng education hindi Gera,” “Itigil ang Atake ng AFP sa mga bata,” and “Stop killing our children! No to unjust war by US, Arroyo Regime” in front of the Malacangang this December 6, 2008.These children believed that in able for them to attain a quality education and a good life in the future, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo should leave the Malacangang. They also stated that Gloria had the supports of U.S that’s why she was not afraid to get the money of our country and to continue her scandals.

Police watched the protest from a distance but did not interfere. There was no reaction from the president, until the rally end.
